No ‘Beatle’ mania, but a ‘tulip’ mania in Liverpool at the SOA24 on the 18th – 20th of June last. Although no signatures were asked for, the Dutch team and Emily Baker from the UK site were being overwhelmed by many interested Intensive Care professionals at our itemedical stand.
‘Brighten up and prevent alarm fatigue.’ That was the text printed on all of our Dutch themed give-away tulips. We certainly feel brighter after spending three days meeting many wonderful healthcare professionals. We were very pleased at how popular our tulips were, they certainly did their job in raising awareness of alarm fatigue and what we at itemedical can do to prevent it.
Our competition ‘Spin-the-Wheel’ to win a collection of typical Dutch goodies was also very popular. The winner was Sara Scott from Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, we hope Sara is enjoying her Dutch sweets and (perhaps the best part of the prize) Dutch kitchen apron and matching oven glove! Second prize went to Michael Jennings from The Walton Centre, who we believe will have to share his prize with his colleagues as they all joined in for his prize giving photo.’
