Our story
Itemedical was founded in 2000 by two intensive care nurses with a clear conviction: medical data should support healthcare professionals, not stand in their way.
What started in the Intensive Care Unit has grown into a leading provider of certified medical software for hospitals across the Netherlands and Belgium. Guided by our clinical roots, we develop vendor-neutral solutions that connect medical devices, healthcare information systems, and care teams, with a strong focus on reliability, patient safety, and usability.
As healthcare continues to evolve, we help organizations improve workflows and patient care through real-time medical data, intelligent alarm management, and integrated care processes. In recent years, we have expanded into the United Kingdom, our most important international growth market.
Itemedical is a business unit of SSG, part of the Halma Group. Within SSG’s digital nurse call ecosystem, we combine expertise in medical device integration, healthcare data interoperability, clinical alarm management, and software solutions that support care delivery. Mission
The mission of itemedical is twofold: on the one hand, we strive to reduce clinically irrelevant alarms and prevent alarm fatigue by coaching healthcare professionals. On the other hand, we develop software and services from the perspective of the healthcare professional, with attention to safe and manageable implementation in hospital environments. At itemedical we believe in the power of in-depth knowledge in the field of ICT, medical technology and healthcare.
