They do what they promise, deliver on time, and actively contribute ideas on setup and medical alarming. The knowledge, commitment, and reliability of the itemedical team made it a pleasant collaboration throughout this project.

Project leader and Biomedical Technologist Saskia Wesseling looks back with satisfaction on the implementation of the Medical Alarm System (MAS) at Alrijne in Leiderdorp.
Last October, Alrijne took an important step toward a safer and quieter care environment. With the successful implementation of MAS in the Pediatrics and Neonatology departments, the hospital now has a smart, reliable, and data-driven alarm chain.
MAS ensures that only clinically relevant alarms reach the healthcare professional. Itemedical’s MDDG plays a central role: it unlocks and processes validated data from vital parameters and alarms, carefully filters and delays them, and delivers them directly to the care phone. This way, the care team receives the right alarms, at the right time and in the right place.
For the combined Neonatology and Pediatrics department, this means:
- less noise
- more overview
- greater confidence in every critical signal
After go-live, the care team, together with itemedical’s alarm coach, continues to fine-tune filtering and delays. One goal: lasting alarm reduction and an even calmer care environment.
Thanks to the Alrijne project team and alarm distribution partner Yourizon (an Esprit ICT Company) for the collaboration and trust. A remarkable step where calm and safety go hand in hand.
