1st milestone reached in the Rivierenland Tiel Hospital (ZRT) in The Netherlands: the Medical Alarm System (MAS) is live in the Children’s Department in this Betuwe hospital in Tiel. Healthcare staff now feel safe walking around the department without missing an important critical alarm. This provides more peace and fewer stimuli, which benefits the nurses and the recovery of the young patients. Together with the project team of the ZRT, AMR ICT and Buitenhuis Advies, itemmedical worked towards the Go Live of this MAS. A certified system is now running in the Children’s Department that supports healthcare professionals in their work.
Thanks to this MAS, nurses only receive critical alarms with information about the nature of the alarm. This provides more peace and less stimulation, which benefits the nurses and the recovery of the young patients. This alarm makes it possible to work without a central station.
On to the further rollout of this medical alarm solution in the Obstetrics department.
